Who do I see?
Appointments can be made by completing the Accurx Total Triage link on our homepage, or by calling at reception or ringing the Surgery.
Emergencies take priority at ALL times.
Children under 16 years should be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult.
A Nurse will be in attendance during most surgeries for attention to dressings, injections, removal of stitches, ear syringing, health promotion and chronic disease management.
She will also be attendance during the special clinics. Please make an appointment.
Blood samples are collected by specially trained staff on weekdays . Please telephone or call into surgery, the Receptionist will try to arrange a convenient appointment. Please note, the Phlebotomist cannot give medical advice or discuss your treatment.
If you want some advice from the doctor please complete an Accurx Triage Form. If you need some advice from a nurse over the telephone then please call the Practice.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
The Thorpe Practice provides a bus service three mornings a week; Monday and Friday to our Owlthorpe site and Wednesday to our Hackenthorpe site, between 10-12am . Patients with limited mobility or elderly are welcome to use this service at a cost of £2 return per person. Wheelchair access is available.

Urgent Medical requests, including Home Visit requests, MUST be submitted before 12pm to allow us to manage you safely. If you have an urgent request after 12pm please contact us by telephone.
Our clinical team will review your request and respond within 1 working day. This helps us manage demand, reduces waiting times, and ensures you get the right help as quickly as possible.
