Health Problem Requests (This is for urgent medical requests)

Our on-line consultation tool for Health problem requests is open Monday to Friday from 8.00am – 12.00pm

If you submit a health problem request, this will be read/triaged by a clinician that day.  You may get a telephone call or text message at any point throughout the day.  Please ensure you are contactable on the day your request is submitted.

If you need more urgent help, call your GP. If your GP practice is closed, visit NHS 111 online or call 111. In an emergency call 999.

Admin or Routine Care Requests (This is for routine medical requests and admin requests)

Our on-line consultation tool for admin or routine care requests is open Monday to Friday from 8.00am – 6.30pm.

If you submit an admin or routine care request, this will be read/triaged within 1 working day.    Please do not resubmit duplicate online requests, as it blocks the channel for other patients. Please also refrain from chasing your response with reception, unless you feel things have escalated in urgency since you made your online request.

Following this being read/triaged, you may receive notification of the outcome of your request via telephone or text message. Please ensure you have your mobile phone available.

Sometimes a GP is not the best person to help you with your medical concern.  Our clinical team is made up of  various healthcare professionals and the new system will offer you the best and earliest appointment for your individual needs. Please be aware we may refer you to the Pharmacy First prescribing service or direct you to physiotherapy, after we triage your online consult for certain problems.

Introducing Online Consultations has resulted in:-

  • More ways for you to request an appointment.
  • Your requests being assessed by our clinical team who are able to decide what the best plan is for you.
  • You being able to complete an online request for anyone you care for quickly and efficiently.
  • You being able to easily log on to see the status of your request and the outcomes of your current and past appointment requests.
  • You not needing to discuss any medical issues over the phone – you can send an online request helping to improve confidentiality.
  • The system being easy to use if English is not your first language, if you are deaf, or have hearing difficulties.
